Behind every sportsbook, casino lobby and flashing bonus offer sits a rather less glamorous piece of machinery: the platform. The companies operating behind the scenes of the online gambling industry have never been more important, and GamblingIQ's annual Platforms magazine, 'Game of Trust', has put the spotlight on the ten platform businesses leading the market in 2026.

At No. 1 is GR8_TECH, where the headline story is speed.

The company has rebuilt its entire player-facing frontend from React to Qwik, a framework designed to load only the code required, when it is needed. In a Catchpoint benchmark covering 15 operator brands, different devices, regions and network conditions, GR8_TECH recorded a Speed Index of 1.72 seconds, compared with an average of 5.3 seconds. Its Lighthouse performance score reached 90–95, versus 50–60 for most of the sites tested.

GR8_TECH positions this as more than a technical brag. Its argument is that every second matters when an operator has already paid to acquire a player. The faster the page responds, the greater the opportunity to turn that traffic into registrations, deposits and bets.

Its wider platform combines sportsbook, casino, PAM, wallet, payments, CRM, KYC, responsible gambling, BI and risk and anti-fraud tools. The company has supported well over 100 brand launches worldwide, with success stories across LATAM, Asia, Europe, Africa and MENA.

BetConstruct AI sits at No. 2, bringing sportsbook, casino, payments, virtual sports, poker, retail and

back-office technology under one roof. GamblingIQ highlights more than 50 active licences, 99.99% uptime and 58,000-plus casino games, alongside its growing AI proposition. SOFTSWISS is No. 3, with more than 1,500 brands, and holds licences and certifications across more than 25 jurisdictions with 99.999% platform uptime. Its move into prediction markets has also gathered pace, with more than 50 signed projects reported within three months of launch.

Digitain takes fourth, with its proposition spanning sportsbook, casino, virtual sports, payments and affiliate technology, while Finnplay is fifth, built around its Titan platform and expertise in regulated markets.

The final five are EveryMatrix, GiG, Pragmatic Solutions, Sportradar and NuxGame. EveryMatrix now works with more than 400 clients across 50-plus markets; GiG's CoreX platform is licensed, certified or adapted across more than 31 regulated markets; Sportradar continues to expand its sports data and betting technology operation; and NuxGame is stretching beyond its original software roots into a broader platform ecosystem.

The lesson from GamblingIQ's 2026 Platforms 10 is that the platform is no longer something operators can afford to treat as background plumbing. It is the engine room — and increasingly, the difference between a player clicking once and waiting for the page to load.
